    When thinking of purchasing a new vessel, especially a used one, having a reputable, professional qualified marine surveyor check out the boat is an absolute necessity.  Local surveyors are the best in the business and will provide and ensure that the boat wherever possible is as reported, checking for no major mechanical faults from an in depth sea trial, lift out, hull and stern gear inspection and check just about everything from stem to stern, both inside and out wherever possible within the applicable time alloted.     VESSEL SURVEY

    Costs can  vary depending on vessel size and location 

     At least a full day is required by our surveyors. This will include a complete sea trail to check everything from engine operation, generator function, operating temperatures, electronics such as radar, autopilot, Echo sounders, radio VHF / SSB, Sat Nav, Plotters.  Speed over ground, bilge pumping function, pipework, safety equipment, cavitation, exhausts and sound insulation, trim tab, steering function.

    A lift out nearest to the vessels location for an in depth hull and stern gear inspection for any signs of wear, osmosis, damage, cracks, water absorption, through hull skin fittings, transducers, anodes, trim tabs etc .

    A complete exterior hull and superstructure close inspection at all points, gelcoat, finish, cosmetics, pipework, rails, stanchions and all fixings.  Interior inspection of all areas and assessment, under decks, lazarets, steering gear, rams, joints, electrical wiring, pipework, toilet & holding tanks, water, flooring & general construction Throughout.

    A complete written report, list of faults and how to rectify if applicable
